NKCD-CERTIFIED PENTEST
To become a Certified Penetration Tester, the path you choose should align with your existing experience level and your specific goals—whether that is gaining a government-recognized credential, mastering Red Teaming, or specializing in web applications. The industry generally recognizes a few "Gold Standard" certifications that separate entry-level practitioners from seasoned professionals.

NKCD-CERTIFIED WEB PENTEST
WPT (Web Penetration Testing) is a specialized subset of cybersecurity focused exclusively on identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities within web applications, APIs, and their hosting environments.

NKCD-CERTIFIED OFFENSIVE WEB SECURITY
The OWS (OffSec Web Security) is a mid-level certification from OffSec that focuses on practical web application penetration testing using Kali Linux. It sits between foundational security knowledge and the more advanced, code-heavy OWE (OffSec Web Expert). While the OSWE focuses on "White Box" (source code analysis), the OSWA is primarily a "Black Box" or "Gray Box" assessment, emphasizing the discovery and exploitation of vulnerabilities from the perspective of an external attacker.

NKCD-CERTIFIED OFFENSIVE WEB EXPERT
The OSWE (OffSec Web Expert) is the "Black Belt" of web application security. While certifications like the OSE focus on network infrastructure, the OWE focuses on White Box testing—meaning you are given the full source code of an application and tasked with finding vulnerabilities that automated scanners simply cannot see.

NKCD-CERTIFIED NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR
As a Network Administrator with your level of experience, your role is the backbone of any organization's IT infrastructure. While a Cybersecurity Specialist focuses on defense and exploitation, the Network Admin focuses on availability, performance, and integrity. In a modern enterprise environment, this role has shifted from simply "cabling and port configuration" to managing complex virtualized stacks and software-defined networking (SDN).

VAPT
Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) is a comprehensive approach to cybersecurity, combining automated scanning to identify security gaps (VA) with authorized, simulated attacks to exploit those weaknesses (Penetration Testing). VA provides broad, continuous visibility into vulnerabilities, while PT offers deep, expert analysis of exploitability, resulting in a robust, multi-layered security strategy
